Originally built in 1940 in the hills of Silver Lake, this 6,500-square-foot single-family residence was thoughtfully reimagined to better support modern family living while honoring the character of the original home. Spread across two multi-level floors, the existing layout lacked flow, felt compartmentalized, and no longer reflected the lifestyle of its owners — a growing family of four seeking warmth, functionality, and connection throughout the home.
The renovation introduced a fresh, modern perspective rooted in comfort, openness, and livability. Interior spaces were reconfigured to create a more intuitive flow between living, dining, and gathering areas, allowing natural light to move more freely throughout the home. Clean architectural lines, updated materials, and layered textures bring a contemporary sensibility while maintaining a sense of warmth and personality.
